I used to own two Nonesuch CD's by the New York cellist and cello teacher, Harvey Shapiro, but lost them. One had the R. Strauss and Shostakovich sonatas. The other had the Rachmaninoff and Kodaly Op.4 sonatas. I'd like to ask/encourage Nonesuch to reissue these recordings on CD. The Rachmaninoff and Strauss are among the finest ever done of those works and the Shostakovich is also excellent. I'm pretty sure those 3 would fit on one CD. I wouldn't bother with the Kodaly.
