TRAC existed and was running on a GE Datanet30 communications processor in July 1967. It was very effective for prototyping but had the characteristics of a 'write-only' language. It was much easier to start all over rather than debug something you wrote a couple of months before. I seem to remember that it was invented by a man named Calvin Moore. In fact I think he was the first to copywrite a computer language. |
