Norwegian charactersI have tried to add support for Norwegian characters (æ, ø and å) so these can be used in the title and body of the article without writing "ø", etc. I have found at least three routines where "&" is changed to "&", but none of them were the right one. This would have been easier if all (?) the files who converted &, <, etc used the same routine. This would be of help for other languages as well - just add support for the characters you want.Headers and footersI have changed hnview.pl (and a few others) so I can use my own headers and footers for all the pages. This was't that hard, but a global (or "easy-to-customize") routine for writing the header (with the title as a parameter?) and footer would be nice. That way all the pages can have the same logo, address, etc.Changing text messagesI would like to translate all(!) messages given from HyperNews to Norwegian. This means I have to edit a lot of files, and it's hard to keep track of where the messages really are coming from. Would it be possible to collect some of the messages in som sort of template files? This would alone would make it worth the effort to upgrade from 1.8.1 to 1.9, even though I am in the process of translating 1.8.1.Problems when the body-document is in a protected directoryI have a .htaccess file in the root directory on the server. When I specify a body (root) document on the server, I get "401 Forbidden". I have avoided this by placing the body documents on another server, but that's not a very good solution. Any ideas why I get the 401?I have used HyperNews since version 1.7 (and translated it twice...), and think it's a great idea.
