Question: batch adding of messages

I was able to create base articles using AddArticle in add-lib.pl.

I am somehow not able to batch add messages. That is I want
to add a default message to each of the base articles that I have created. Do i use AddResponse in add-lib.pl ???

if so I am not quite able to figure out all the values for the %response - can u give me an example
