I have also seen "document contains no data." In all cases, it was a correct error message due to one of the perl scripts not producing any output on stdout. In a couple of cases, this was due to my failing to run fixPerlPath on all the scripts (i.e., I did "fixPerlPath *.pl", which missed "get" and "frame"). This caused the scripts to be read by perl4 and, of course, they bombed.
