Question Is a relation icon mandatory?

This is relatively minor, but when I add a reply and either select "None" or keep the default "None" for the "Relation" menu, the message title shows up with the "Note" Icon.

Is this intentional behavior or a bug?

(This message was posted with the "Question" relation. I'll post a reply to this one with "None" as the relation.)
