I've recently installed HyperNews
(it's *great*) at our site, on a Sun Sparc2 system -
we plan to use it as a local forum
[aka blackboard].
Everthing's fine except that I can't get the 'Start up Editor'
to work on remote SGI machines. Error messages relate to the include-files
"sys/socket.ph" -> "sys/bsd_types.ph" -> "sys/select.ph".
We do not have a local Perl-guru,
so I'm sort of lost:
Undefined subroutine "main'_MIPS_SZLONG" called at /usr/local/lib/perl/sys/select.ph line 9
Therefore my question: has anyone successfully
ported HyperNews to IRIX 5.2?
