Just as a matter of information for folks trying to install 1.9B2 on a Linux machine running Perl5.0001m, compiled as an ELF binary: when running get, I get an error to the effect that Socket/Socket.a is not an ELF file, which I take to mean that 1.9B2 is not going to run under Perl so compiled.
