Hiya.
I'm trying to make some modifications to the source for hn 1.9.5, in particular hnview.pl. However, when I make changes to the source I find that the server has cached everything using some logic I can't understand and refuses to re-load any scripts even if their modification times have changed.
I suspect this is probably a problem with mod_perl, but I'm not even sure if my server is using it to execute hn. I don't *think* it is, but HNError tells me "Server Software: Apache/1.2.0 mod_perl/0.98_12". However, when I think I've turned mod_perl on for hypernews, everything stops running and dies very early on in execution.
So:
1) Does hypernews work with mod_perl? 2) Anyone else have this problem with their web server not re-loading modified libraries?
