I've just configured a majordomo list to work with hypermail and a web-email gateway, when a friend told me about hypernews. Hypernews is cleary superior in features. But the combination of programs I configured has three advantages:
1)A cleaner interface. Due to the non technical subject of my forum, a huge number of the forum members will be new to internet. A simpler interface would be nice. This should be very easy to do, just putting things like the format of the message in hidden forms and taking out some other options. Maybe it must have a simple interface install option.
2)Why not use some cookies to automaticaly fill some fields (like name and email) and preferences?
3)Probibly the most important. Is it possible to automaticaly put all messages of a month (or another time period) in a different page. Hypernews pages have a tendency to become extremaly big.
just my two cents. regards, Paulo
