HyperNews Problem

I've working on installing HyperNews and so far it has gone resonably well. I can create base articles but when I try to respond to the articles I get the following error: 404 requested url /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/hn/hn_tmp#### not found. Now when I check the directory the files have been created. Anyone have any idea why the server can't access the files? I'm also having problems getting the icons to display, I have got a icons-table file in ../HyperNewws/.scripts. Any insight that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
