There is no limit to the number of postings by anyone currently. Sorry
to get your hopes up.
Imposing a limit would require some changes to the code to record the
dates of each persons' postings during the last time period, say one
day. If that number is greater than some amount, further postings
should either be prohibitted or forwarded to a moderator (if we
supported moderation). This would probably take a couple hours for me
to write.
Anyone doing 2000 postings a day is using some kind of script to
automatically create them. Why would someone go to the trouble?
HyperNews has been an education for me on the depths to which some
people sink.

Ok so how do i limit their messages? they do mutiple postings of 2000 messages at a time
