I think you (and several other people too) might be confused by the fact that HyperNews tries to guess who you are and it fills in the name of the domain you are coming from. You can edit that field to be anything you want.

So HyperNews doesn't care where you are coming from. It does care if you know the password associated with whoever you say you are.
