Hi!
I install HyperNews on my CERN 3.0 WEB server. I use Sun solaris 2.4 on sparc ...
I configure HyperNews like that:
Anyone can become a member
Just Admin of Forum can join a member
Anyone can read Any Forums
Just member can add, reply message
Just a member can modify or delete messages.
And i create with setup script 3 users and Admin group.
The 3 users was add to the Admin group.
After de configuration. All work. I create with my admin user (one of the 3 i create on setup) a member: Test
And after i create a Forum: Test i said that the admin
was: Test (the member just created!).
I i tried to read... can read... All person can read!
But when i tried to add a message, WEB server ask me a user and password, i reply with the user & passswd of member: Test.
That not work. In fact, just my 3 that i create with the setup script work. I look in
/hn/hnpeople/.htpasswd
All user that was createde was there. (the first 3 + Test).
But after i look in /hn/hnpeople/Admin/.htgroupmembers
i i not found my Test user.
Why my user that i subscribed in a Forum not was work?
Other question. Can i have many group (like Admin). I want
to make 3 Forum that was Admin by 3 distinct Admin and i don't want to each other to ADmin the Forum of the other guys. I i don't want that the user inscript in a Forum to seek on other that he was not permit.
I don't found usefull information do to that ...
