If you are permitted to use the reset-password.pl script, you can do that, or you could simply change the password to something specific rather than a random password. But perhaps there is a bug that is messing up the authentication process. There was a bug like that in the last couple days at hypernews.org. Let me know if the problem you have persists. dan
