If there were instructions on this, you would find it under the
instructions on base articles or installation. But not only are there
no instructions, there is no feature.
Actually, it is not quite so bad since there is an $allowModeration
option that you may be thinking of. It worked last time we tested it,
but it is probably broken at the moment. Furthermore, it wasn't quite
finished since it did not relate to notification correctly - you'd
want moderators to receive mail when something is posted, and then
when it is approved, normal subscribers will be notified. We also
needed a reasonable way to deal with multiple moderators, and we
needed a rational way to deal with the navigation controls that should
skip by the still invisible postings. And a few more hurdles...
So there was a significant amount of additional work that got in the
way of releasing this feature, and it has never been a high priority
to begin with. If anyone hacks the rest together, we might be able to
add it to the distribution, but I would be surprised. The rewrite of
HyperNews, now underway, will make it easier to do some of this work,
if not most.
