There could always be unreliable mail delivery to some addresses.
But check whether these subscribers have somehow unsubscribed to
particular threads. Each forum and each message in the forum has
a 'list' file of subscribers and unsubscribers.
I trust you are not confusing subscribing with registering as a member.
The latter doesn't subscribe you to anything (unless you are using
'all-member' forums). It's a frequent confusion.
