Ok, it appears we're not closely related, but here's some info
on the Pawtucket Laliberte's I am related to.
The Patriarch was Isreal Laliberte, who had two wives,
one (we beleive) was Marie... We're working on hunting up
any family documents and checking with surviving relatives.
Israel had 13 children, we have 12 names, Pete, Ida, Fedora, Blanche, Gertrude
Normand, Raymond, Beatrice, Florence, Walter, Louis, Francis
Israel passed away in 1956, and Raymond (my Grand father) in
92. I'll go back and check above, but if anyone has any
info on any of these Laliberte's, it would be appreciated.
Family info implies that the name went from RoiReau->Roy->Laliberte,
though exact time tables aren't known (yet)... More as I
have it! =)
