CB was asked about possible Verdi roles.
Nothing in a foreseeable future
Then: which roles would she like?
She would like to sing:
1) Monteverdi: "L'incoronazione di Poppea"
2) Haydn: "Armida"
3) Rossini: "La donna del lago"
On a general way: she enjoys very much roles with recitativi.
Roles from our century?
She sees nothing there.
My comment: can not wait for her Monteverdi!
Another CB (Cathy Barberian) showed the way many years ago.
Nothing happened since now. Now there is hope!
Bartoli could do for Monteverdi what Horne made for Rossini.
