Originally, I didn't know what you ment by young, but now I
realize that I probably fall in that category. After observing
the audiences at the few live operas I've attended and the
people who contribute to the various opera webs (not to mention
the autograph signing at Virgin Megastore on 9/19) it's rather
obvious that there aren't many 17-year olds. Anyways, the first
recording I heard of CB was "Mozart Portraits", and I haven't yet
found a better performance of the selections (especially "Dove
sono"). Unfortunately, I couldn't get tickets to the Orange
County recital (suprise, suprise); I probably won't stop regretting
it until I get the opportunity to see her live. Anyone know
when CB might be coming back to Southern California? Also, has
anyone seen her La Cenerentola at the Houston Grand Opera with
Raul Gimenez (the most remarkable Rossinian tenor I've heard)?
