CB in Clemenza di Tito

Keywords: Request for information

This is a request for information about the recording with Hogwood. Aside from the "different" sound of the instruments does Hogwood keep the tempos reasonable? I found Chailly's tempos on the Rossini "La Cenerentola" a bit ridiculous -- way too fast much of the time.

When I say reasonable, I mean does he give the music time to breathe (let alone the soloists)?

Please advise.

Craig
