Cecilia Bartoli has incredible technique! As a young mezzo, I can say from experience that dealing with a changeable, "Maybe"- mezzo, maybe not voice is tremendously difficult and she handles hers with a great deal of finesse. As for Marilyn Horne, she may or may not be the "grande dame" of Mezzos, but it is unfair to compare her to Cecilia in any case, as their voices are completely different! |
