Ah Ton, your description of Cecilia brings back such exhilarating and sweet memories. Her stance on stage is inimitable: shoulders squared,( those magnificent shoulders!) feet spread apart, eyes flashing and the left hand expressing the emotion she feels. She is a superb athlete as well she must be to sing as she does.
One can almost HEAR her as we read your words. In fact, I had to listen once again to the CD, so strong were the emotions which re-visit me when I read or hear anything of her.
It is remarkable that weather never prevents people from going to hear her LIVE. I've gone to see her in driving rain, freezing sleet and snow. And, I noticed that ALL the seats were filled in those venues. No one misses La Bartoli LIVE.
