In the French magazine "Le monde de la musique" (The world of music" from October 2005, "Opera proibita" got a "Choc" of the month" splendid review and with it a beautiful article. Also in this magazine from november 2005, the CD has been chosen with the "Chocs de l'année 2005" (the Chocs of the year 2005).
The the French magazine "Diapason" ("Tuning fork") from October: A "Diapason d'or" (Golden Diapason) of the month and a also a firstclass review. But the "Diapason" from December has a fantastic, a little bit "naughty" photo of Cecilia on the cover and two great articles (with photos) within: again a splendid photo with the article "Cecilia Bartoli vox romana" and a long interview. And: some interesting plans and prospects: "L'heure espagnole" at Covent Garden in 2007 - She "hopes" to sing more Handel "Cleopatra's" "everywhere in the world" but only with Minkowski - New program (and CD) probably back to Monteverdi, Caccini and Barbara Strozzi, but
together with Rossini and Mozart: "Perhaps one day a Contessa"
(Le nozze di Figaro) - Possibilities: Vivaldi's newly discovered opera "Montezuma" on CD with Alan Curtis and Monteverdi's "L'incoronazione di Poppea" with Minkowski - The "Farinelli project" (which she abandoned a couple of years ago) is going to be realised ("Promised, but I like to take my time for it") - And the "greatest hit": Carmen!!!!!
"I am dreaming of it, we only have to find the right moment, the right place and the right conductor". But the "Vox romana" article ends with:..."Cecilia has not given up Carmen. And even, within not too long, it is said..."
