AT Thru Hiker Wanna Be

I have hiked three separate portions of the trail (Presidential Range,N.H., Angel's Rest Va. and Poconos in Pa., but I would love to hike the whole thing. Unfortunately, I am 45 with no chance of getting 6 months off. I imagine it takes a great deal of mental discipline to do the whole trail. Anyway, I have to be content with being an "armchair" explorer of the AT. However, I did get a chance to do a small part of the Pacific Crest Trail in California last spring.
