hey alan my name is nathan and i have been planning a 97 through hike for over a year now. the anticipation is killing me. i work at over the mountain outfitters and with all the gear, maps, and my boss that hiked in 93 it makes it quite difficult to sit still. i hope to leave very early march and I'll look for you but it seems that this year there is an unbelievable amount of beginners. we have already outfitted a fair amount of people in and outside of birmingham. best of luck to all. nathan
