The Canadian Aircorps Volunteer Association is Canada's first professional full time airmobile search and rescue unit.
Our main platform will be a C-182 turbo with FLIR systems model 7500 with real time mission telemetry. We plan to operate under a 702 specialty air service and will be fully operational by 2004.The use of thermal imaging on sar aircraft has been proven effective and the recent decision of United States Air National Guard to use flir has been a major factor in our aquisition strategy. For information please contact J.Hibberd (403) 286 5101 or e mail hibberd9@aol.com
The Aircorps mission can be viewed at www.cava-rescue.org
