As a member of the SAR communtiy here in PA I have a few things to comment about in regards to your posting.
First
The difference between PAID & VOLUNTEER is merely that one makes a career out of Public Safety....while the other does not. Being Paid does not make you more or less of a person.....and way should a PAID department NOT have FULL TIME K9 handlers??? Remember a time when PAID ambulance personnel when unheard of???
Second
From the feelings floating around the PA SAR Community you seem to have been shut out.....now you are upset. I do not know why this happened...nor do I care. You have never done to me..so be it. But you have been at the heart of many a discussion concerning the BAD ATTUTUDE os SAR since these events have taken place.
Maybe you need to sit-down & rethink you feelings before blaming other hard working paid & volunteer SAR workers for this decline in professionalism.
