I've also had several problems with SendOutput. It crashes regularly and seems to give inconsistent results. As yet I haven't settled on an exact pattern on its behavior, but I'm working on it.

Besides the crashing I've had problems with SendOutputStop. It doesn't seem to work (at least for text/html). Once SendOutput has been done, the CCI support code in Mosaic forever thinks that it has an external view (via the CCI port) for viewing the document (even after the call to SendOutputStop). The upshot of this is that Mosaic doesn't display the document, but because a SendOutputStop was done there are 0 external viewers to send it to. It seems that when the last corresponding SendOutputStop is done for a given MIME type the Mosaic support code is not determining that it should start displaying that MIME type again.

I'm still trying to figure out some of the behavior, but I'm starting to believe that we'll just have to wait until the next beta release for something considered reliable (or at least useable).
