I did experienced the same problem. the command line options -cciPort etc did not work on a sun (not solaris). It appeared that the dot in the name of Mosaic was the cause of the trouble. My Mosaic was named Mosaic2.5b5 .Renaming it to Mosaic2b5 solved the problem. Now it works fine
