Our project MMM has provided concurrency and synchronization structures
directly into HTML. This technology can be used to encode collaboration protocols
into HTML documents. This will nicely compliment applications
being developed for collaboration. Further research will uncover
where the right split is between functionality in HTML vs.
functionality in the application with respect to encoding group
interactions. See http://www.cs.unc.edu/~stotts/MMM/index.html for the MMM page, including access to Sparc binaries. See http://www.cs.unc.edu/~ladd/mmm/mmm.html for our WWW '95 Boston conference paper on MMM |
