Question How do I code an include?

How do I take a part of a web page that is coded the same in several web pages of mine and put it in a file by its self. This would then by able to be accessed from the several pages so they all look exactly the same in that particular area of code and screen display. Also by changing the separate saved little file, it would show the changes on all pages immediately. I understand this is called an include. How do I code an include?
