At present I am with an ISP called Interlog (www.interlog.com). I have registered for and have the domain www.inkspot.com. Right now Interlog is "faking" my domain, so that I am accessing all my website through: http://www.inkspot.com/~ohi/... If you type in "http://www.inkspot.com/", for example, you just get the Interlog main page at http://www.interlog.com. i.e. at this moment, inkspot = interlog. Unfortunately I cannot stay with Interlog because I can't afford the web traffic charges. And I would like my own virtual web server so that users can access Inkspot through "http://www.inkspot.com" instead of "http://www.inkspot.com/~ohi/inkspot/". *************** My main concern is that my current users be able to access my site, or at least be informed that it has moved. My old URLs (especially "http://www.inkspot.com/~ohi/inkspot/") have been published in many hardcopy directories. *************** MY QUESTION IS: Does anyone know of a virtual web host service that can set up some kind of server re-direct so that users who access http://www.inkspot.com/~ohi/.... will be re-directed to http://www.inkspot.com/ ? I am also open to ANY other solution that enables users to know that my websites still exist and have just moved, even if it means posting a simple page at the old URL saying something like, "This page has moved to http://www.inkspot.com". I've already sent out a number of inquiries, and nearly signed up with one service until I found out about the tilde problem. Any advice or suggestions appreciated!
