1. How is their support? Try sending them an email with questions about their service. See how long it takes for a response and how well your questions are addressed.
2. Read through their web pages. Do they load up fast? Are there online manuals and documentation? Do they offer the features you are looking for?
3. Ask them if they resell space on another company's server or if they administer their own servers. Reseller companies can sometimes be a problem, but not always.
4. Does their pricing structure seem reasonable? Does it make sense? Do you feel comfortable with their terms?
5. Ask for references from other customers and ask how long they have been in business.
These are just a few suggestions on how to choose the right web provider. The lowest price is not always the best option. Support and reliability will, in the long run, provide you with the best hosting experience.
