Analyze userids on password-protected sites?

I am looking for a Unix tool to analyze the userids on a password-protected site.
For example, if I give passwords to a protected subdirectory to my friends Jane and Tom, I'd like to know how many times each of them looked at files in the directory.
As far as I can tell, none of the common analysis tools does this. It's planned as an enhancement to Analog -- but is there any tool that does this *now*??? I can grep and cut the userids out of the access_log, but I'm looking for something a bit prettier, perhaps integrated with other stats.
