The beta-test of http-analyze, a fast log analyzer for web servers, has finally ended. http-analyze analyzes a server's logfile and creates detailed statistics about the server's access load, the amount of data sent by the server and the efficiency of caching mechanisms (http-analyze DOES NOT count the number of visitors of your site for reasons explained in an article by Erik Dorfman. The program has been highly optimized to process huge logfiles in a reasonable time (on an Indy R4400/175MHz http-analyze processes about 21.000 log entries per second!). http-analyze requires an ANSI C compiler, a server supporting the common logfile format, and Thomas Boutell's gd graphics library for fast GIF creation. http-analyze is copyrighted, but available for free at The World's Finest Netstore, the web server of RENT-A-GURUŽ. Have fun! |
