Much as I don't like slamming my former colleages at the SEI,
I don't think the SEI
Exemplary WWW Sites is a very good list of good sites.
For example, it includes some of the following places that I
don't agree are so great:

The Christmas Book
Not much here worth looking at. Nothing wrong with the product,
but why is this on the list?
- Hampton Inn
This one is hardly an example of good HTML style; they embed
lots of formatting inside <H6> tags to make information at the
bottom very tiny. And information that shouldn't be that tiny! (See the
Bad Style page for more.)
And the lack of comments about why they consider these good isn't thrilling.
There are some good sites pointed to here, but this is hardly
the WWW94 awards.
