The other response pretty much covered the bases, but I'm going to step up now and talk to the pitcher. Why can't you be a 'master'? With the advances in gender equality (primarily in favor of women - men have not made comparable progress), there is really no reason that a woman couldn't be a 'master' of something. If you were well read and conversed (I'm doubting you are, considering your post) you would realize this. If there's one thing in the gender-wars that I'm completely sick of, it's people (men and women both) who hide beneath the blanket of victimhood, thinking themselves safe. Wrong. People are victims as long as they allow themselves to be. I'm not saying rising up and above is easy, only that it's up to you, and you alone. If you're not willing to help yourself out, then I doubt you'll find too many who are. Whining about how victimized you are is going to get you nowhere, but taking charge of your own life will at least get you the satisfaction that you did all you could... if you let it.
Get over yourself, and get on with your life.
