Some people say that ignorance is the root of all evil. Your assertion that the word "webmaster" is sexist is as stupid (not to say narrow-minded) as saying that the word "doctor" is also sexist...what would Dr. Ruth be, a "doctress"?!
Your sexist alternative for the female gender, "webmistress" is flawed, just as the following tried-to-be-unsexed words:
- Conductress
- Driveress
- Poettess
- Choufferess
- Judgess
- Flawlesser (male for "flawless")
- Computer programmeress
- Presidentress
- Senatoress
- Workeress
- Underwearess
- Employeesesses (unsexist for "employees")
- Reproductive organess
- Smartess
- Womanhole (from that biased "manhole" word)
- Piana (female for the italian "piano")
- Piano playeress
And that politically incorrect word: "STRESS" should, by all means, then be unsexed to the male alternative: "STR"
I suggest you take a good course in English grammar. And please, don't kill the "webmistress" either. It would be a shame for the webmaster to get lonely.
