She is right. 
The title "Webmaster" indicates a male Person. Most People
 imagine first a male when they hear the term Master. Just at
 the point when they are confronted with female "Masters" or
 the imagination of it they realize it's a possibility. This
 is why the word Mistress exists.
I am German and german language is full of these
 discriminating language uses.In that sence the English
 language is much better. It is a shame, that, especialy the
 describtion for a person who creates Websites, a "modern"
 person, involved in new technology, cannot be of doubtfree
 gender neutral term.
